purpose, these books are written by an array of pastors and theologians, some well known names such as Tim Keller and Tim Chester, and some lesser known, but all with a passion for the gospel and a great ability to be able to communicate the meaning and application of God's word. This series is one I highly recommend as an addition to your regular Bible reading. \r\n\r\nAdmittedly, 1 Peter for you initially seemed to be quite repetitive in it's themes of suffering, but it was well worth persisting, as the overview of this book and understanding of God's purpose of suffering that you gain by the end of the book is both profound and encouraging. Sanchez does a fantastic job of explaining and applying the truths of 1 Peter, holding firm to God's word even when in some scenarios it can be difficult to accept - this all for the greater purpose of being able to be truly joyful when we suffer for being a Christian with the understanding of God's great work and purpose in it.
