I LOVE this book. I’ve now gifted it to multiple friends’ kids, it’s so cheap too. It’s in rhyme with a great cadence and each page it has a scene that kids can relate to and finishes with the same phrase in every scene: Jesus is bigger, Jesus is better, than anyone, anything, anywhere, EVER!

...Read MoreRead more about I LOVE this book. I’ve now gifted itpletely fulfilling just as he is. It’s not about us. I find self esteem/affirming books with the “you’ve got this” or “I am loved” messages etc often draw attention to self and they just never sat right with me as anything truly fulfilling for my heart to feed on because its always about how God makes ME whatever it is I want/need to be in that moment. Whereas this book doesn’t entertain that idea. I want my kids to find their hope and confidence in knowing what Jesus offers is better than whatever it is that their heart is set on and this book speaks that message. Each scene/new page has a scripture hidden in the illustrations. So we had great fun finding the verse and looking it up - it was always relevant to the scene on the page. It’s a thin small paperback book and its repeating words echo exactly what my heart yearns for my kids to know and believe as they grow up and navigate the temptations of this world. I’m keen to make a poster or a mural for my kids with this phrase to remind them daily.
It worth mentioning that a completely unrelated (but also excellent book) Jack Klumpenhower’s “Show Them Jesus”, talks about helping kids understand that Jesus is better than anything else the world can offer and this is feels like a complimentary picture book to read with the kids to help me communicate this idea in a really engaging way.
