Welch tackles a handful of major psychological problems (eg. alzheimers, depression), outlining what role the brain does play, while not ignoring the natural sinful inclination of the human heart. Welch argues that brain defects/deficiencies *cannot* make us sin - rather, they may expose the sin that's already there in our hearts by removing our ability to hide them as easily. One day, my aged brain may be damaged, but any sinful behaviour that proceeds cannot simply be excused.
