g book, it has 6 chapters, and with my 5 year old we took it one chapter each day. She did find it really interesting and wants to hunt fossils, collect rocks and become a scientist from this book. A great resource for world history and science. It is a little hard to read aloud with the constant dialogue, but was still well worth the read. It does feel a bit vintage, because it was written in 1979, which is obvious in the illustrations, but the info is still really relevant. Recommend for 5-12 year olds.
