The soft illustrations complement the emotion and characters in the story. The book has a clear message, but this comes out of the story naturally, without a didactic feel. Because it is a good story, children will enjoy it even when they aren't experiencing specific fears.\r\n\r\nThe message has been well thought through. This is a lovely story addressing fear in young children. I have found the central message: 'God's still here, God's still good" to be very useful in helping my 3 year old through fear. The hardcover book is also beautifully presented with quaint and emotive pictures that illustrate the message wonderfully.

Once again Penny has taken common childhood feelings and woven an engrossing story which will cause both giggles and comments from young listeners. Grand children love the illustrations and Grandma decides this is worth reading again. A real problem addressed in a sensitive manner and prompting helpful dialogue.
