Anglican Youthworks' Under Construction curriculum lets children learn more of God's Word year by year. It aims to challenge children to trust Jesus throughout their lives, and to give them the confidence to live boldly for God.
Under Construction is built around three key questions:
* What is God like?
* What has God done for his people?
* How should God's people live in relationship with him and with each other?
All the Bible passages and learning experiences of Under Construction help children to answer one or more of these three questions, and to live in obedience to God's Word.
The syllabus is a three-year cycle. After three years children will encounter the same theme and possibly the same Bible verses again, but they will have moved up an age group so there is no possibility of getting the same activities in the same learning environment.
SERIOUS PLAY is designed for 3 to 5 year-olds, who learn through play and action. Whether the child is a beginner reader or a non-reader he or she will be introduced to the Bible, God, Jesus and the Christian faith in a way that encourages them to respond and to trust their Lord and Saviour.
