Mosenya (Moses): Children’s Bible Series - Pitjantjatjara
Booklet 2024-06-01
This book in Pitjantjatjara tells the story of Moses leading the Israelites out of slavery. The new king of Egypt treated the people like slaves. God spoke to Moses telling him to lead the people to God’s chosen land. Moses got the people ready, and they left Egypt. God showed them the way, but when they got to the Red Sea, they couldn’t go any further. The king of Egypt was very angry and sent soldiers after them. The Israelites became frightened, but Moses told them not to be afraid, that God would save them. God told Moses to lift his stick and hold it over the water. When Moses did this and the water parted, allowing the Israelites to get to the other side. When the soldiers tried to follow them, God made the sea return and drowned all the soldiers. The Israelites were free at last, and thanked God while they danced for joy.
