My Daily S.O.A.K
Dolores Marie PattersonPaperback 2008-06-25
Publisher Description
My Daily S.O.A.K. is a devotional journal designed to take the reader through the New Testament in one year, one chapter and one day at a time. S.O.A.K. is an acronym. Each chapter of the book assigns the reader a chapter from the New Testament; a Scripture bite, which is a scripture from another part of the Bible; an Observation, which is a thought to ponder; an Application, which is an opportunity for questions and answers, and a Konnection or short prayer. Over the years as a pastor and biblical counselor, I have spoken to countless people who are discouraged and depressed because life is not working the way they want it to. They may be new believers or they may have grown up in church. They believe in Jesus and they attend church; however, when I ask them how often they read the Bible the answer is usually that they dont. They know they should read it but they find it boring and not applicable to their daily lives. There are others who read the Bible regularly and have memorized portions of it, but that isnt working either. My Daily S.O.A.K. was created to meet the needs of people who do not know how to grow deeper in relationship with God through disciplined daily Bible reading and application. My Daily S.O.A.K. is full of fresh, stimulating and doable exercises designed to help people fall more in love with Jesus everyday.
