Classic on Preaching

I was happily surprised by this book in how good and helpful it was.\nThis is basically Lloyd-Jones lectures at Westminster Theological Seminary.\nAnd as such, it was a easy and enjoyable read, while penetrating many important issues and topics about preaching and preachers. ugh it's for ministers (or those training to be) I would actually recommend this to lay-people who are interested in the importance of preaching as well. Lloyd-Jones puts preaching where it should be, at the centre of the work of the Church as the ordained means God has given for the salvation of men. \n\nAnyone who knows Lloyd-Jones already has quite a good idea of his view and opinion on each of the topics he presents but it's so helpful to hear him explain it fully in this form. \n\nI found this more interesting and helpful than "Lectures to my Students" by Spurgeon (many topics overlapped).
