s teaching is that if you have a traumatic or difficult birth experience (or experience pain) then you either didn't have enough faith or didn't use the techniques that produce faith. I am concerned about the way the author has used scripture to claim a woman can have a perfectly pain free, trauma free childbirth. A woman with previous difficult births or women who may have difficult births in the future may blame themselves for their birth experience due to their "lack of faith", a damaging mental space for a woman to be in post birth. The author also claims that the work of Christ on the cross reverses the curse of pain in childbirth. The scriptures reveal the work of Christ on the cross reverses the curse of sin through the forgiveness of sin but does not promise us freedom from pain in childbirth or suffering in this life. God promises to work all things together for good for those that love him & are called according to his purposes, regardless of experience and outcome. Id love to see more books encouraging women to trust in God for their pregnancies and births but from a more careful use and application of scripture.
