Wati Palya Tjamiriyanya Ngurara (The Good Samaritan): Children’s Bible Stories Series-Pitjantjatjara

The Good Samaritan in Pitjantjatjara is one of the parables Jesus told about a Samaritan man who came to the aid of an injured fellow traveller. The Jews who saw the injured man walked by, afraid to touch him in case they became ‘unclean’, but a Samaritan man took pity on the man and looked after him. This story showed that the Samaritan was the one who truly loved both God and people, regardless of their background. Jesus told this story, and his advice to go and ‘do the same’, as a warning against hypocrisy.
