I felt for both Hallie and Josh. Both have dealt with issues that have changed their lives. Hallie dealing with being a Missionary kid and being smart dealing with others perceptions. Josh has dealt with a life changing event that causes him ongoing issues. I loved watching the growth of both characters as the story progresses.
Another part I love is the connection with other characters in the series. We also learn more about a mystery that has been weaving through a few of the books. One thing I really enjoyed seeing was how simple conversations would convict both characters showing they needed to change. The faith element is strong in this book without preaching. I wish I could say so much more but that would give to much of this story away.
