He was much more patient than I would have been, especially when her dad arrests him! (I told you it starts off with a bang.)
For all Justin’s good points, I started to snicker the moment he comes up with his “brilliant” plan to win over Leah’s dad. I saw it going pear-shaped a mile away, but I wasn’t sure which direction the author would take it. That made reading the book so much fun!
Leah is nice, but it took me a few chapters to warm up to her. Mostly because I wanted to bang my head against the book until she got a clue about how controlling her father was. Since I was reading an eBook and electronics don’t allow for head banging, I settled for my second impulse of turning page after page to see what happened next.
Wondering how they’d ever manage to get their happily-ever-after with such a hostile future father-in-law in the mix and what Leah’s father was holding against Justin were the big hooks for me in this story. Plus, it was a fun read.
I read this in two days.
