tips for application, prophecy, God at work drawing people to him, gospel harmony... It provides background information ie fascinating information about the Feast of Tabernacles and the setting in which Jesus said he was the Living Water and the Light of the World which helps one to get a bigger picture. It is engaging to read for example when talking about the woman caught in adultery : "Those religious leaders had Jesus trapped. No matter which choice he took, he gave them ammunition to use against him. So Jesus chose option C; he ignored them (He's hard to keep in a box!) No doubt about it - being ignored takes all the fun out of an execution... when that didn't work Jesus went to option D.. that remark wasn't what those self-righteous men wanted to hear. " (pg 92). It includes loads of quotes on 'what others say" such as Matthew Henry, CS Lewis, Philip Yancy and lots of others. I will be buying other titles in the series... Love love love!
