Real and relatable characters mark this series

I could not relate to Esther’s church experience, my own being so very helpful in my spiritual journey. But the story drew me in when she began sharing her faith after letting Christ onto the throne in her life. She is awkward, uncomfortable, and full of excuses just like the rest of us, and yet, she still opens her mouth and speaks. And she feels bad when an opportunity passes her by. Isn’t this the attitude all believers should have? This book will challenge your faith muscles!

    1st in series

I really liked this book it has me hooked as it was really good concept. Love books that deal with difficult issues and cancer is definitely one of those. Made me think about how I would handle something like that. I can't wait to read the rest in this series.

    Real and encouraging Christian Fiction

This book was hard to put down from the beginning. I love that it was set in Australia and dealt with an issue that many people deal with in a biblical way. The author has done a great job of inspiring and challenging readers to read the Bible more and make the most of opportunities God gives us. Will definitely read the rest of the series.

    Good overall

Overall, I liked it. I had trouble getting into the book when it jumped back in time at the start, but once the story got to the diagnosis I found the book hard to put down. A few Bible story moments were a little preachy and stilted for me, but at least her points were clear and not muddled like some authors can be. It was a great debut into novel fiction and very enjoyable. Made me think and challenged my faith. Absolutely loved the title Grace in Strange Disguise, a perfect fit to the story and a great reminder about the lesson the author is trying to share.
