Where Jesus Walked

Ken Duncan

Hardback 2024-11-01

Where Jesus Walked is much more than a modern travel story. It traces the footprints of a man like no other – Jesus Christ, the carpenter from Galilee. Even after 2000 years, the impact of Jesus’ life and teachings continue to inspire and confront. Today we measure time as years before or after the birth of Jesus Christ. BC refers to the time Before Christ and the years after Christ’s birth are referred to as AD - Anno Domini - meaning in the year of our Lord. Who is this man, that time is measured by His birth? What was His mission? And what insights can we gain today by following the path of Jesus through the Holy Land?

This was the challenge presented to Ken Duncan (stills photographer for Mel Gibson’s epic movie The Passion of the Christ). Travelling through Israel, the Palestinian Territories, Egypt, Lebanon and Jordan, Ken retraced the age-old steps of Jesus, as outlined in the Gospels. Along the way, he uncovered many layers of colourful history and local traditions. It was a pilgrimage through twenty centuries of faith and memory, encompassing a multitude of spectacular sites from Galilee, the Jordan River, Jerusalem and Bethlehem, to Egypt and beyond. The result is a magnificent collection of photographs, leaving readers with an overwhelming sense of Jesus’ historical authenticity and wonderful uniqueness.

For Ken, the journey was like a forensic investigation into the reality of Jesus. There is no doubt about Jesus’ existence, so hopefully this book will help you understand more about His supernatural life and His mission on earth.

The new, updated version of Where Jesus Walked is 224 pages in extent, with many new images, stories, Bible verses and inspirational quotes. It features a full colour, French fold jacket, with a new cover image.
