2nd in a series but can be read as a stand alone novel
I have not read the first in this series, but didn't feel that I lacked any knowledge in reading this historical romance. The Turner family is one of great moral character and spiritual discerment. The Christian content is throughout and a new believer born. I appreciated the growth and struggles with themes of truth and loving others through practical service. The romance was sweet.
