I like this book even more than A Time to Die.
READ THIS BOOK. . . but be prepared to be very cold! Also, I might have needed some hugs from a sympathetic big sister to help cope with the end of the book. . . still, you should read it.
I like this book even more than A Time to Die. The book is characterized by sacrifice, hope and courage. This book is not just filling in time between A Time to Die and A Time to Rise it has an amazing plot. There were questions after the first book but now I can understand Jude's motives and reasons better and there are even more questions that need answers. . .
I love the characters and their relationships with each other. PARVIN. . . SOLOMON. . . *sheepish grin*
*shudders* I thought I did not like Skelley Chase after reading A Time to Die - but NOW! *shudders* . . . and the Council. . . *shudders again*
I love how Nadine Brandes introduces the key verse for this book and how she has Bible verses all through the story. Hebrews 11:4 says, ""And through his faith, though he died, he still speaks. "" (this verse is majorly worrying towards the end of the story!)
This is a story of an eighteen year old young lady who stands up to lead and help and support her people even when they hate her and ignore her. Even when it means pain, hardship and suffering for her she sticks with them. She believes this is God’s plan for her – that she would be a bringer of Shalom – and so she will not leave her people.
