After a year away, now a widow, Emily comes home to much change. Part romance, part mystery and some unexpected turns ends nicely tied up. Several side plots held interest and I hope they will be addressed in more of the series. Themes of bullying vs compassion, doing what is right before God and cultivating different friendships are throughout. Forgiveness and trusting God's sovereignty are good reminders to take into real life. I look forward to the 2nd book!
