American Gospel: Christ Alone, DVD

Do not be put off by the title; this applies to Christians everywhere. America heavily influences the Christian world, and many problems are commonly found in churches there, which is why this documentary is call American Gospel. This documentary is a part of a series (that can stand-alone), with the primary goal to present the beauty of the Gospel as it is in the Bible, in comparison to other views that distort scripture. The focus of this documentary, 'Christ Alone', is the prosperity gospel (the Word of Faith movement). Although, clearly biased to the fundamental Christian belief, it does not misrepresent either side of the 'conversation'. Rather, it provides a clear insight into the errors of the prosperity gospel, and what the Bible really teaches. It is thought out carefully and every point is explained well. It is eye opening to anyone who does not know about it and strengthens all who do, in the knowledge of God and His Word. I recommend this to everyone as it is one of the best works I have seen that directly addresses unbiblical teaching.

This is an amazing documentary. Some think they shouldn't watch it because it might be dissing the dodgy churches and just reveal how messy they are, but it's actually a really refreshing film because it's ALL about the TRUE gospel, and how this true gospel is so much better than the false prosperity gospel! Watch it and watch it with friends!

This is well researched documentary. The current popularity of the American gospel teachers have clearly left a stain on the spreading of the real Gospel and what Jesus really taught. They have turned it into a profit unto themselves as they fly around in private jets, live it wealth beyond need and yet still want more. They have turned Jesus into a genie and yet their spoils come from their own congregations in the name of Him. Many of which have no money to give themselves and are already suffering. The Gospel that these thieves teach is to enrich the own lives and their own status in life and this movie clearly shows how, why and what they do to get it. All the while the real Gospel is used as a lure for self gain by these ultra materialist preachers. This is a must watch. It will bring you closer to the Truth of what Jesus taught, and what he knew he would be leaving us after he left.
