    Interesting

Roland March, a Detective with a past and plenty of """"enemies"""" who gets the run around from his superiors and his colleagues. Considered to be a bit of a """"loose cannon"""", he is a person who believes in himself and his abilities but sometimes, rubs people the wrong way. \\r\\n\\r\\nAfter being tossed from pillar to post by his superiors, through good policing and detective work, he manages to solve the crime of two young girls murdered by drug dealers as well as """"outing"""" two """"dirty"""" cops into the bargain. One in particular who has been a thorn in March's side for a number of years. \\r\\n\\r\\nAdded to this, are his personal problems, his tenant, the death of a child and his realationship with his wife and God, some of which really don't become all that clear until well into the book. \\r\\n\\r\\nI love reading crimemystery type thrillers but felt that this one, partly due to a bit of an abrupt ending to the story, left me a bit flat. \\r\\n\\r\\nHowever, given that this is a debut novel by J Mark Bertrand, it wasn't too bad a yarn and perhaps the next one in the series will be a better read.
