Inspiring
This book could be nonfiction rather than fiction as the story is so real. I love how Robin Jones Gunn is able to encourage us with her writing. This story of a young woman finding community and also her need of it is powerful. It really shows how we need others in our life to help us walk this journey of life. I love the hope and encouragement that it gives. It is a continuation of Christy's life journey from her earlier series but you don't have to have read them to be encouraged by this book.

A Pleasant Surprise
This book is not in my usual genre, but I'm so glad I strayed from Christian romance, because this was a wonderful read. It depicts an enviable group of ladies who support one another through life by pointing to Jesus, and being Jesus to each other. We should all aspire to gathering such a positive group of friends around us, and can learn a lot from these ladies about how to be a good friend, and do life in a very Godly way. This would be a very helpful book to anyone trying to start a women's ministry, or anyone already in women's ministry. Can't wait to read the next one in the series. Highly recommended.

Easy Read
Becoming us is a story through the eyes of the main character Emily. Her family moves interstate and she ends up joining a womens group who each have their own personal challenges. It was slow at times to read but overall was a good read.
