I actually bought this book years ago and knew no other Hebrew at the time. \\r\\nI finished it and started on Volume 2. \\r\\nThere were also 2 audio cassettes available at the time, which were very helpful with pronunciation. \\r\\nThe book gives a short but useful summary of Semitic languages also. \\r\\nIf you are prepared to spend the time and enjoy self motivated learning you will be able to learn enough Biblical Hebrew to at least know if you want to go further with your studies. \\r\\nI haven't seen the revised edition, but no doubt there there will be improvements. \\r\\nI wanted to know if the book was still available as a friend was enquiring about it.
