Mysterious. Secretive. Well rounded characters, some of whom are genuine and others who are clearly hiding something. This kept me going, I wanted to find out everyone's secrets. If you read closely enough, you may have a feeling who it is. It's a web of deceit. I enjoyed discovering Belle's tender heart, Drew's conscience, and Lilly's selflessness. Whilst Drew and Lilly rekindle their romance and relationship, it's not without its own trials. However for me this story was about the mystery and joining the dots.

Great suspense
This story keeps you guessing until the last page. There are twists that you don't see coming - you may think that you know who did what, but it turns out that someone else is the culprit. While set around a century ago, the writing style is more modern allowing the reader an insight into life in the past without being confused by the language. Colleen also weaves spiritual truths into her work, taking the reader on a journey along with her characters. I found this book held my interest and I was encouraged in my walk with God.
