    Excellent

This is another one of those """"must have"""" commentaries for those looking to understand Ecclesiastes. In terms of depth, it is for the pastor, scholar and student, and less for the everyday reader. \\r\\n\\r\\nI liked this commentary because it was quite different in format to many other commentaries. In the exegesis section of the book, Seow starts with words and phrases from the passage and goes into lots of detail as to their translation and meaning. He does this really helpfully and it's easy to look up when your uncertain of a word or phrased used. He then goes on after words and phrases to give his comments in a very readable way. Its readable because it is without the detail he has previously uncovered in between the sentences. So it reads well and flows which is a welcomed refreshment. \\r\\n\\r\\nI also felt he makes good use of other sources from around the Ancient Near East to help us understand Ecclesiastes. \\r\\n\\r\\nAll in all, a very detailed but helpful and readable commentary.
