Systematic theologies are notoriously dry reading for most Christians, which is why this book is such a breath of fresh air. With his inimitable clarity and precision, R C Sproul surveys the basic truths of Christianity, helping readers to get a grip on the terms and scope of key biblical doctrines. 357 pages.

Who would want to be a theologian? Many people react negatively to the word theology, believing that it involves dry, fruitless arguments about minute points of doctrine. They prefer to focus on the basic truths of Scripture and may even declare, "No creed but Christ." But as Dr. R.C. Sproul argues, everyone is a theologian. This is because any time we think about a teaching of the Bible and strive to understand it, we are engaging in theology. Therefore, it is important that we put the Bible's varied teachings together in a systematic fashion, using proper, time-tested methods of interpretation so as to arrive at a theology that is founded on truth. That is precisely what Dr. Sproul does in Everyone's a Theologian: An Introduction to Systematic Theology. This book is anything but a dry discussion of minute points of doctrine. Instead, Dr. Sproul, again demonstrating his trademark ability to make complex subjects easily understood, surveys the basic truths of the Christian faith, reminding us once more of what God is like and of what He has done for His people in this world and the next. Good content but uneven

Sproul introduces the major areas of Christian doctrine. The strength of the book is it is rooted in biblical convictions. However, a key weakness is that it treats topics unevenly. Some topics are well covered, whereas some chapters seem to focus on side issues without getting to the main point. Overall this book might be helpful as supplementary reading, but not useful as a first introduction.

    Helpful intro to Systematic Theology

Sproul writes this engaging and accessible introduction to systematics. It has 60 chapters across a wide range of biblical doctrines with each chapter being quite concise. \\r\\n\\r\\nThis a great book for any christian. For those who are a bit more versed in theology, this can be a great little refresher, and for others there can be much to learn in this book in order to have a bigger picture of God whom we worship. \\r\\n\\r\\n

    What a page turner!

This book is such a page turner! R. C. Sproul is hands down one of the best when it comes to explaining doctrines! The book is divided into several main topics - starting from the very basic, which is about the Bible and then continues to anthropology, Christology, soteriology, pneumatology and eschatology. Each topic is divided again into some short chapters however it is so clear and well-explained making it a very enjoyable read. \\r\\n\\r\\nOne thing that I really love about this book is that not only is it packed with so much biblical knowledge, but the author also reminds us to know WHY we need to understand it, what shouldn't be the reasons for us to pursue biblical knowledge and be humble with all the knowledge that we possess. \\r\\n\\r\\nThis book is highly recommended!
