The BHQ edition is being developed from scratch by an international and interdenominational team of scholars. The textual basis of the new edition is the oldest fully preserved manuscript of the Hebrew Bible. Ezekiel is volume twelve of the complete BHQ series.

The text-critical apparatus is completely redesigned in this edition and the material presented is greatly expanded. All significant variants from the Qumran texts are now listed in full. For the first time, the edition also contains a detailed commentary section, which makes scientific work easier.
