I really liked this. It's like a tumbling lush Pilgrim's Progress anchored in Spenser's love of reading diverse sources and writing. When I first picked it up it had that same kind of feel as Narnia, though the Faerie Queene blooms in a way that C. S. Lewis looked up to it seems. I liked how everything was knit together and the rhythm and the rhyme. It hearkens to an age that has been maligned in occult heavy fantasy stories, the Faerie Queene is wholesome and resonates like a deeper George MacDonald novel. It is worth taking the time if your interest is piqued.
