A local lad brought up in a small village in the heart of Lanarkshire, came across evidence of past activities of Druids, Quakers and Covenanters in the area. He later weaved their story into this gripping book.

During his early years, the author found an old copy of a book written by the late John Ritchie around 1910. It is about the first Scottish lady pioneer missionary to Central Africa - Jeanie Gilchrist. With the help of contacts in Interlink, Echoes of Service, and a retired missionary, he unravelled her story and now brings a fresh 21st century perspective into the story of Jeanie - and that of well known missionaries - who brought the gospel to Central Africa in the late 19th and early 20th century.

The book also travels into the present and leads us to God at Work, particularly among children in Chapelton, over a period of thirty eight years.
