This is possibly the best piece of Christian fiction I have ever read. The book is based on old testament scripture, and tells the story of the transformation of a Christian's heart as we walk in love and faith and learn to follow Jesus in all our thoughts and actions. Hannah's portrayal of Jesus is personal, warm, and loving, and challenges assumptions we make about our Lord and Savior. I challenge anyone to read this book and not be filled with love, awe, and desire for closeness with Jesus.

Brilliant!
This book is one of the best, if not the best, books I have ever read. It really helped me process and find God in my recent miscarriage. However, it could be read from anyone's different struggles and fears and be relatable. That just happened to be the context and meaning I read it from. The story is easy to read and has beautiful imagery. I love the idea of all of our deep struggles, if we dont lose our faith, earning us a unique gemstone in our heavenly crown. I would highly recommend this book.

Mirror of Christian Walk
This book mirrors the Christian life in various ways. Just like Much-Afraid we are challenged to follow the Shepherd to the High Places but also like her we sometimes quail with fright and wonder what He is doing! This book is an encouragement for anyone like Much-Afraid who knows they can trust the Shepherd but at times wonder whether they will ever reach the High Places.

Must have on any Christian's Bookshelf
Written in the style John Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress, this book is (in my opinion) just as challenging and perhaps easier to read. There are lessons for every believer within the pages of this book, A must read for every Christian
