This could be a run-of-the-mill Western romance. It's anything but. Despite her privileged upbringing in the best part of Boston, Ingrid is a strong and intelligent woman with a deep compassion for the sick and hurting-including the people suffering from smallpox in rural Montana. She doesn't whine or complain even when anyone else would. She has a strong faith in God, knowing Him as her protector. She believes and trusts that despite the death of her father, God is leading her to His best plan for her. \\n\\nWe could learn a lot from Ingrid's strength and faith. Micah gave up on God after the death of his family, and can't understand Ingrid's stubborn faith. But Micah is stubborn in his own way, especially his determination to save the life of a complete stranger without complaining the personal cost. He even agrees to help Ingrid deliver the vaccines, even though it's a journey that will take weeks in the winter snow. \\n\\nHope's Highest Mountain is Christian Western romance at its finest. Rugged men and brave women learning to depend on God to get them through life's battles, using strong writing to show an even stronger God. Compelling
Author Misty M. Beller has done it again; at once delivered a captivating story that is adventurous, romantic, and compelling! \\n Micah and Ingrid must struggle to overcome obstacles, both physical and spiritual, that stand in the way of their being and accomplishing all that God has called them to. \\n I was swept up in the freedom and challenges that were awaiting these unforgettable characters along their journey! I'm already hooked on this series and can't wait to get my hands on book #2! Ms. Beller never ceases to create an enticing and engrossing world of adventure and romance that you'll find yourself loathe to leave once you've turned the final page!

An epidemic has broken out and the Chastains will not let bad weather, mountains, or Western inexperience stop them. Unfortunately, a horrible accident in a steep mountain pass leaves Ingrid the only survivor--with serious injuries, and little chance to live. \\nHowever, a rough mountain man, Micah Bradley, discovers her and uses all his strength to drag her to his camp. Despite the danger to her health, Ingrid begs Micah to take the vaccine on to save lives, and justify her father's death. \\nCan Ingrid convince Micah to make a trip that will take weeks of walking through the snow-covered mountains? Since Ingrid can't be left alone, how could he bring her with him? Could Ingrid survive a trip like that since she is already in tremendous pain? Micah has demons of his own that drove him away, will he leave the mountains to help? \\nThe fascinating characters of Micah and Ingrid immediately draw you into their stories, and keep the pages turning. This clean tale has lots of excitement and adventure. Despite Micah not believing her, Ingrid credit's God with giving her strength.
