The true crime biography of John Lawson, born in Scotland and raised in South Africa until the age of ten where his policeman father locked him home alone and never returned. Rescued after four days without food he was sent back to Scotland where rage grew inside. In Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester and London's Soho his fighting skills and courage made him a man with a reputation among the gangs and violent men running the clubs where vice and prostitution were rife. Riding with a biker gang, trained as a bodyguard and graduating to 'debt collecting' for international racketeers his life was full of brutality and crime. It was only when serving his third jail sentence that he found the way to escape the prison of brutality that his life had become. A remarkable story of one man's escape from his past life by finding The Truth that set him free.
Review Quotes:
"*If a Wicked Man* is a book I can easily relate to, the love of money and a cold heart can drive violent men like us to take by force what we feel society owes us. Brutally honest, deadly serious, yet strangely funny at times. A compelling story of a wicked and violent man...with an unexpected twist." - Rocco Morelli, Former mafia mobster
"A truly powerful account of a life changed." - Major General Tim Cross, CBE
"John Lawson was a man who had profiteered on the weakness, fear and vice of others. If a Wicked Man is told faithfully, in simple language, no excuses. Read it, and believe that there is always hope." - Anne Perry, NYT best-selling author

Excellent Read
Bought this to take on a short trip to Vanuatu, spent the next two days reading this from start to finish. Bought it by accident but wow did I make a good mistake, This book had my attention from the start. I have been looking for a book that shares the Christian Message in a very real way for a long time but never found one that I could give to no. Christians until now. Every church should be encouraged to use this book to reach people for God. This book is amazing

Well worth a read
This book was given to me as a gift, I don't normally go for books like this but I could not put it down once a started. I read it in two days which is amazing for me. I love the strategy of entering this book into the True Crime section as a way to share the Gospel with non believers. It had me fooled as there is no indication on the cover that it's a Christian book, I was drawn into the incredible story of this mans life and amazed at the turnaround at the end. Brilliant just brilliant, I can't wait to see the movie

literally one of the best biographies I have ever read. It kept me interested all the way through like a best selling novel and I finished it in two days. I come from a rough background so could relate to the story but I never got up to half the things John Lawson did in his life. I like the way he don't try come across line a tough guy and wow the ending is amazing. I would recommend this book for all people, schools, churches and prisons.
