When it comes to queens in the Bible, we know the good one, Queen Esther, and the bad one, Queen Jezebel. But what about the wise one, the Queen of Sheba? This wealthy royal from antiquity, who longed to observe for herself the wisdom of Solomon, offers a storehouse of treasures for her modern sisters, showing us how to seek after truth, ask the right questions, keep an open mind, give generously, and honor God above all. Just as Sheba posed enigmas for Solomon to solve, this book will address thorny life questions and consider what qualities best serve a godly queen of any realm. It's Good to Be Queen incorporates the biblical account with historical material from Josephus and other resources, and touches on various legends that have swirled around the Queen of Sheba for thousands of years. As she did in The Girl's Still Got It, Higgs offers deep and meaningful takeaway while drawing readers in through her warmhearted, sometimes humorous style.

This is a quick read. I was amazed to see her pull apart those few verses that contain the Queen of Sheba. Was great to think on it line by line and go on the journey with the Queen of Sheba. Her style of writing is engaging and I also loved that she had thrown questions out to everyday women and included their answers, it made you almost feel a part of it.

Inspiring
This book was surprising. Liz Curtis Higgs in her usual style of preceding each chapter with a fictional account of the biblical story takes you on a journey with the Queen of Sheba as she visits King Solomon. Liz then proceeds to teach from scripture. This bible account is only 13 verses long but from it we learn many principles to be whole and wise women of God. Apart from learning things like being a gracious receiver of gifts, seeking wisdom, and having courage, this book challenged me to not just read over familiar stories and events in the Bible and see them as just history but to look deeper and see what God is teaching through it. The book also has a bible study in the back so it can be used in a group or for personal study. Loved it
