Hyper-spiritual approaches to finding God's will don't work. It's time to try something new: *Give up.*

Pastor and bestselling author Kevin DeYoung counsels Christians to settle down, make choices, and do the hard work of seeing those choices through. Too often, he writes, God's people tinker around with churches, jobs, and relationships, worrying that they haven't found God's perfect will for their lives. Or-even worse-they do absolutely nothing, stuck in a frustrated state of paralyzed indecision, waiting... waiting... waiting for clear, direct, unmistakable direction.

But God doesn't need to tell us what to do at each fork in the road. **He's already revealed His plan for our lives: to love Him with our whole hearts, to obey His Word, and after that, to do what we like.**

No need for hocus-pocus. No reason to be directionally challenged. Just do something.

*Now Included: An 8-session study guide! Perfect for use in leading a small group, bible study, or book club.*

Helpful for will of God topic

This little book is helpful for the topic of finding the will of God. It debunks the myths and misconceptions behind the conventional way of finding will of God, and points people to the way of wisdom that is found in the word of God. At the end there is a chapter that has the author's good advice for some decisions, such as wedlock and work. Recommended for those that are in crossroads, and just for any believer.

    Brilliant book

This is a short, engaging, easy to read book on an important and often misunderstood topic - how to find out God's will for us. Deyoung shows the problems of common ways people misunderstand the topic, and then shows what the bible has to say about it. Helpfully he walks through how we should consider the common questions of """"who should I marry?"""" and """"what job should I talke?"""" by way of examples.

    Brilliant!

I have just finished reading,""""Just Do Something"""" by Kevin DeYoung. This is the best book I've ever read on finding God's will for our lives. I wish I had read this book years ago. \\r\\n\\r\\nIf you have questions about God's will for your life then read this book.

Excellent Guide to the Will of God

This is a simple, short book about making decisions. Christians would benefit from reading this book instead of being paralysed about decisions to be made. \\r\\nDeYoung suggests the biblical guidance for decision making is simply to make a decision because Christians have been given freedom to make decisions within the biblical guidelines of morality. \\r\\nThis resource intends too free and empower Christians to make decisions without the pressure of """"missing God's will"""". \\r\\nPerhaps the weakness is the lack of discussion about the subjective experience of the Christian life and the ministry of the Holy Spirit. \\r\\nA valuable, freeing guide to the will of God. Well worth reading. \\r\\n

    Very helpful!

With dozens of books published every year on the topic of finding God's will, this book is the antithesis. This book confronts you by saying maybe we are asking the wrong question. DeYoung argues that finding a specific will of God (for our job, place to live, whom to marry) is so hard maybe because God """"doesn't realy intend to tell us what it is. And maybe we're wrong to expect Him to. """"\\r\\n\\r\\nThis is a timely book for everyone. Sometimes we look at God as a magic 8 ball that tells us what we should do, where we should go, etc. Our fascination with our unknown future means we need God to tells us exactly where He wants us to be. Once we steps outside God's will then our life is over. This is a burdensome way to live and I have to agree with DeYoung!\\r\\n\\r\\nInstead of seeing God as a fortune-teller, DeYoung gives a God-centred and bible-focused ways on how to make decisions. DeYoung also talks about wisdom which is very helpful. \\r\\n\\r\\nIn another part of the book DeYoung also honestly writes about how Christians often misuses """"the will of God"""" excuses for our own benefits. \\r\\n\\r\\nI recommend this to absolutely every believer. This will change your paradigm on how God's will works in your life. \\r\\n\\r\\n5 out of 5
