This 400th anniversary edition of the King James Version of the Bible is a reprint of the 1611 text, in an easy-to-read roman font instead of the black-letter type of the original. The original capital letters, many of which are pictoral, have been restored to each chapter in order to replicate the visual appeal of the early editions.
The 1611 text is followed page-for-page and line-for-line, and all misprints are reproduced rather than corrected. The large body of preliminary matter, which includes genealogies, maps, and lists of readings, is also included. The text of the 1611 edition differs from modern editions of the King James Version in thousands of details, and this edition is the most authentic version of the original text that has ever been published.
The volume concludes with an essay by Gordon Campbell on the first edition of the King James Bible.
Features:
- A luxury limited edition King James Bible to mark the 400th anniversary of the translation, with burgundy leather binding, gilt edging, ribbon marker, gift presentation plate and protective cloth slipcase.
- Uses the authorative 1611 text free from changes that have crept into later editions and incorporates original preliminary materials, including the translators' preface to the reader.
- Re-incorporates early page ornaments and decorative letters into the roman typeface setting to create a new text setting that is both easily legible and beautiful to look at.
- The volume concludes with an essay by Renaissance Studies expert, Gordon Campbell, on the first edition of the King James Bible.

KJV Holy Bible 1611, Includes Apocrypha (400th Anniversary Edition)$199.99
Professor Gordon Campbells addition of the first printing of the 1611
This is very a large bible but is the Roman font version of the first printing of the 1611 not the KJV 1769. The 1769 was allegedly an update of this 1611 bible where so called spelling errors were corrected. That is not accurate as Dr Gordon Campbell states in his essay and in a separate book. This 1611 version was authorized by King James where the KJV commonly known as the KJV was not as clearly King James was not alive in 1769. He was long dead. Therefore, this bible is the last in its line of majority text (Textus Receptus) translations based on the Antioch parchments. This is indisputable. There has never been any debate. I have been through all of the so called debates since 2022. I have read the New and Old Testaments from this bible (but not the Apocrypha) and there are no contradictions in this text. The testimony is true. There are other versions the so called first printing of the 1611 Bible however they change the gender in Song of Solomon 2:7 where the actual Hebrew is clearly feminine. Ruth 3:15 must read he. The book of Ruth is redemption story and therefore he had to go to the city gate to redeem her. She could not redeem herself.
