**The one woman he wants is the one he cannot have.** Former foster kid Sebastian Grant has leveraged his intelligence and hard work to become a pediatric heart surgeon. But not even his career success can erase the void he's tried so hard to fill. Then he meets high school teacher Leah Montgomery and his fast-spinning world comes to a sudden stop. He falls hard, only to make a devastating discovery--Leah is the woman his best friend set his heart on months before.
Leah's a math prodigy who's only ever had one big dream--to earn her PhD. Raising her little brother put that dream on hold. Now that her brother will soon be college bound, she's not going to let anything stand in her way. Especially romance ... which is far less dependable than algebra.
When Leah receives surprising results from the DNA test she submitted to a genealogy site, she solicits Sebastian's help. Together, they comb through hospital records to uncover the secrets of her history. The more powerfully they're drawn to each other, the more strongly Sebastian must resist, and the more Leah must admit that some things in life--like love--can't be explained with numbers.

Let It Be Me (#02 in Misty River Romance Series)$22.99
This book was brilliantly written, as all Becky Wade's are, and had a really intriguing storyline which had me interested in seeing where it would go - along with a trademark plot twist I totally didn't see coming - but I didn't enjoy it as much as I expected to. I think this is mostly because I didn't connect at all with the two main characters. Probably a personal thing though since I know many readers have loved this book. I did love the set up for the next book though and am really excited to see where that goes.

Intriguing Characters
What intrigued me most about Let It Be Me were the quirky but likeable characters. Leah is almost certainly somewhere on the autistic spectrum: she's brilliant at math, responsible, and hard-working. But she's not good with relationships, especially romantic relationships. In fact, she's made it to twenty-eight without having any romantic feelings. The result was that I really liked her character voice, which pulled me through the story. \\n\\nSebastian is also an overachiever with his own personality quirks. As a medical doctor, he also understands math and physics and other logical, scientific disciplines. He's loyal, a good friend, and willing to put his own feelings for Leah aside. He also helps Leah to discover the mystery behind her birth. \\n\\nAs such, this was an unusual yet compelling romance with unique characters and plenty of quirky humour-another winner from Becky Wade. \\n\\nLet It Be Me is the second book in Becky Wade's Misty River Romance series. The stories feature members of the """"Miracle Five"""", who survived an earthquake as teens, an experience that has brought them together and shaped their lives. Each book is the romance of one of the Five (although one was already married when the series started). While the books are each standalone novels, they feature the same setting and many of the same characters - my idea of a perfect series. \\n\\nThanks to Bethany House and NetGalley for providing a free ebook for review.

Let It Be Me
I am a huge fan of """"Stay With Me""""- the first in the Misty River Romance series. This one was equally well written. The main characters did not resonate with me personally as much, but still liked their growth in the end, and the glimpses at all the other characters in the novel. Looking forward to the next one!

Fantastic Series
I am a huge Becky Wade fan and when I found out she had a new book coming out I was so excited. I knew that I wanted to be involved in the launch team as soon as I heard about it. \\n\\nI loved the glimpses of Sebastian that we got in Stay With Me and I was so happy to hear that he was getting his own book. Both Sebastian and Leah are great characters. I love how Becky is able to create interesting and relatable characters that are still unique from other characters. \\n\\nOne of the things I love most about Becky Wade's writing is how she talks about serious and sometime heavy topics but not in a way that brings you down. There were so many cute, fun moments in this book and they were the perfect balance to the serious moments. \\n\\nI loved this book and can't wait for the final book in the series. I'm excited that the others in the Miracle Five will get their stories shared.
