Not bad but not memorable either

This is by no means a bad book. It's just not the most memorable one. There are plenty of more impactful books on spiritual life, such as Dallas Willard and Henri Nouwen. This is a solid book if you want to build your daily spiritual life. It does cover a lot of topics such as spiritual habits, renewing our minds, sufferings, etc. I just feel you might be better off reading spiritual formation classics by Willard or Nouwen.
