Still the best book series I have ever read. very very addictive and I loved being caught up in the swirl of adventure and Mandie's knack of getting into trouble.

Addictive and worth it!
My ten year old could not put this down and as soon as she finished the first collection begged me to get the next. It is well written, easy to follow and with valuable life lessons despite the different era and sometimes sad plot twists. Very much worth the purchase!

Tween / Pre-Tween Adventure
My 8 year old was drawn right into this series without any effort. From where Mandie's journey began finding her new home to adventures with new made friends, it keeps the reader engaged. It is well written and gives flight to imagination and own adventures. I would venture to say 8 year old's can enjoy this book reading it themselves, but younger ones will enjoy it as well when being read to. My older tweens still enjoy this series.

Perfect for young girls.
Perfect for young readers. Both boys and girls. Mandie is a young girl who loves solving mysteries, spending time with friends and has a knack for getting into difficult situtions. She has a strong faith and is often quoting her favourite bible verse.

10 year old really enjoyed this collection
We've always been big Secret Seven and Famous Five fans in our house, and my daughter likened these stories to that genre - fun, adventurous and always a good lesson learned. My 12 year old son secretly enjoyed reading these stories too, although he did say they were very predictable, which is really part of the joy of these childhood adventure tales anyway!
