Many think evangelism is rooted in a method. It is rooted in something much deeper. It is found in what makes us whole and healthy messengers of God's truth about Jesus.??Mack Stiles has lived the life of the healthy evangelist in homes and coffee shops, at universities and farms. He has lived out and spoken about the gospel to Kenyans, Koreans, Arabs and North Americans. What he has learned around the world and at home is summarized here in a few basic truths that can shape any of us into faithful people who bring good news to needy and hurting friends.??The whole gospel changes much more than our relationship with God. Stiles shows how it changes all of who we are and what we do. It means learning the whole gospel without shaping its message to meet our tastes. It means not just going through the motions of accepted behaviors. It means showing the unity of witness and justice. It means love. It means community.??Join Mack Stiles in a life-giving adventure of boldly knowing, living and speaking the gospel.?

    Read every year

This is THE most encouraging book on evangelism I have ever read. I never once felt guilty, or that 'I could never do that', even as Mack shares some truly amazing stories from very different parts of the world. Not only is it encouraging, you just want to pick up your phone and call that person you have been meaning to share Jesus with, or make that coffee date, or start dreaming of how that next conversation might go. Very Importantly, Mack takes us through some of the most relevant mistakes we might make sharing the gospel. Trying to make it more attractive, adding or subtracting from the gospel, getting the role of social action right, and making sure our lives are in line with our message. \\r\\nMy favourite section was on examining the difference between worldly love and God's love. It is an issue that I have been feeling a little uncomfortable about, but didn't even really know what my questions were. The world views love as sentimental, unconditional (requiring love without any thought of changing the bad things we might do) and basically selfish. God's love is not like that, so we need to be aware of how to prevent these types of 'love' from impacting how we share the gospel. \\r\\nThis needs to go not on the 'to-read' shelf, but on the 'to read EVERY YEAR' shelf!
