Meant to Be Mine (#02 in Porter Family Novel Series)

I loved this book! Loved the characters, their interactions, the very real pain, doubt and hope that came with every decision they made. Ty made me laugh, but also had a depth to him that I didn't expect, and quite liked. And their daughter was just adorable with her stories and princess addiction. A sweet romance with a bit more depth to it than the average 'boy meets girl'. Looking forward to reading more by this author.

I loved this story. I have just read it for the second time. The characters are so real and well written that you feel like you know them. The fun side-characters include characters from the previous book in the series. \\r\\nI love storylines where the couple are already married when they fall in love. This story is about the characters coming back to God and receiving His forgiveness and purposely forgiving each other. There's also a lot of kissing and some sexual references (so I wouldn't recommend it for young readers). The book is a contemporary love story which I would recommend for a light hearted entertaining read!

This is my favourite book in the series. It is brimming with romance, enough to make your toes tingle. But one thing is stopping them from being together. Forgiveness - will knowing God's unconditional love and forgiveness help them to love each other? What they have is beautiful, however the journey is tough! I thoroughly enjoyed being part of the adventure, and the Porter family are lovely! My highlight is the banter between them all, especially Ty and Celia. You'll love it. It's a charming read that will steal a full night's sleep.

I love the already married story line. This book literally made me laugh out loud with the banter between Ty and Celia. Their relationship (although I can't imagine it actually happening in real life) was one of 'I want hate you but I love you'. The story brought out the grace of God, the importance of forgiving as Christ first forgave us, and how God values marriage more than we do. All the characters were quirky, unique, interesting and lovable. I really want to read the other books in this series now! I would recommend this book to anyone who wants a good laugh and a reminder of God's grace and forgiveness. Caution: there are some kissing scenes and sexual references that may not be appropriate for very young or unmarried readers.

This second story in the series keeps the good standard of writing enjoyed in the first. The plot line - Ty Porter discovers that his one night with Celia, the result of too much drink and a rushed Vegas wedding some five years previous, resulted in a child. But Ty's hasty decision to marry, and then to take off believing it to be a mistake, hurt Celia so badly, she decided she would not ever tell him about their child. When Ty decides he needs to find resolve for that night, to ask her forgiveness, he discovers the little girl, and then it is his turn to hold hurt. This is a plot line that is used a number of times, but that is because it works. Good story, dialogue, character interaction and resolve.
