    High-tech murder mystery

High-tech murder mystery is exactly what this book is. Although aimed for younger readers, I thoroughly enjoyed following Phil's journey as he tried to find out what really happened to his dad. \\r\\n\\r\\nI probably only understood about half of the computergaming lingo, but it was enough to keep me on track with what was happening. And happily, if you don't understand it all, there is a glossary at the end of each chapter. A true gaming enthusiast would have fun following all the links to more information -- unless of course, they already know it all. \\r\\n\\r\\nLisa Taylor did a great job at portraying teen characters as well as some interesting adult characters as well. Motive Games kept me turning pages, particularly as it built to the climax. Recommended for teens and lovers of the gaming world. \\r\\n

    Intriguing for teenagers AND oldies

I rarely read books written mainly for teenagers and Young Adults but so glad I did this one. Motive Games gave me a glimpse into a whole new world of computer programming to create games our grandchildren are starting to enjoy so much. The glossary at the end of the book was essential to help this """"oldie"""" to understand terms used in this unfamiliar """"world"""". The story of a son first of all trying to discover if his father's death was really an accident or murder and then finding """"""""who done it"""" kept me turning the pages - and neglecting other tasks I should have been doing. Although at first I thought the spiritual level was low it was definitely there throughout and very effective. \\r\\nThank you LD Taylor for an unforgettable and fascinating story for readers of many ages \\r\\n

    Great Young Adult fiction

Canadian born LD Taylor, has constructed an excellent story for teens, particularly boys who are gamers. She has written a murder mystery, using a 16 year old games enthusiast who will work with an ex-detective to find out whodunit. If you're looking for something engaging for your teenager, the gaming context and language make it quite accessible, and the mystery keeps you involved. \\r\\nMeredith Resce\\r\\nAuthor
