Even and Expressive
I appreciate this. David Suchet does a consistent job throughout. His readings are reverent and they often got me thinking about """"difficult"""" verses and the questions they give rise to. He has a deep English voice which he uses to great effect in the Old Testament prophets but he can be tender too like in his reading of The Song of Solomon. He pronounces some names like Nephilim in a different way than I've been doing and that also gets me thinking. \\r\\nA note about the translation. A couple of things disappointed me. In the sermon on the mount in Matthew there is a line about what divorce does that almost seems the opposite of most translations I've read, or at the very least trying to remove the edge from it. Also when the name Mizraim is used in 1 Chronicles the name Egypt is used. I know he is the father of the family of Egypt but his name is Mizraim and not Egypt! These things don't come up often and apart from those its an excellent Bible to work through or even pop on shuffle.

Excellent Bible Resource
This is the best audio bible resource I have ever owned. I prefer to listen than read, and being able to listen to say the whole book of Jeremiah over 3 days is such a great blessing. \\r\\n\\r\\nDavid Suchet's narration is excellent, with appropriate inflections, pauses, pace and emotional range.

Superb and Inspired
I was looking for an audio bible for in the car and out on walks, and this one caught my eye while at my local Koorong. \\r\\n\\r\\nI picked it up and was absolutely blown away. David Suchet's voice is perfectly suited to biblical narration, and his voice brings out all the power and spirit of Scripture. \\r\\n\\r\\nI could not recommend this audio bible more highly if you're shopping around between the various products on offer. The Psalms in particularly are wonderful. \\r\\n\\r\\nOne tiny caveat for those who are less technologically inclined is that it only comes with MP3 discs, which means it can only be played on an MP3 capable CD player (whether in the car or at home) or a computer. I had no issues with this as I loaded it straight onto my Iphone, but just a note for those looking at getting this product. \\r\\n\\r\\nBut, seriously, could not recommend more highly!
