There is so much in the Old Testament about Christian ethics. But it can be overwhelming precisely because there is a lot to cover. But Dr Christopher Wright has done a great job in helping us to understand some very important ethical matters. He talks about ecology, economics, politics, family, the legal system, justice and righteousness in the Old Testament. Needless to say, these topics have huge implications to the way we live as 21st-century Christians. One does need to have some working knowledge of the Bible to understand this book. But it is well written and very insightful. Dr Wright is a respected Bible teacher who loves the Scripture, and in this book he has demonstrated his in-depth knowledge of the Bible and current scholarship. I warmly recommend this book to all theological students, pastors, and anyone else who loves the Bible.
