Joy filled, Funny and Wholesome
My 8yo son and I read this together and we really enjoyed the story of Pip & Pat Pickle - two young entrepreneurial spirited rabbits. Saving up for a gift for their mother, they plan to sell some lettuces but find a whole new set of adventures instead! Funny, clever and filled with goodness, this is an excellent and wholesome story. Pip & Pat have to work as a team to figure out the puzzling instructions and complete the gardening tasks they’ve been set. It has some Christian themed messages, mostly delivered by Granny Marmalade, in kindness and love as Pat & Pip learn not just about becoming good gardeners but also about growing where you are. We absolutely love media that encourages good values in our children, and this does it beautifully. The over arching message for book 1 in this fun series is to bloom where you are planted. My favourite line from the book is “God must love creativity, he created Beetles & Bananas”.
I’m looking forward to reading this again to my younger children, and seeing what happens in the next book. A great debut!

Wonderful and cute!
Oopsie Gardners is a heartwarming, sweet and beautifully optimistic story. It explores sibling dynamics, faith, grace and creativity. It will definitely make you giggle and the whole family will be smiling by the end at Pat's antics and Pip's problem solving! It's a truly wonderful story about taking chances on yourself!
