Paul, Apostle of Christ, DVD

I saw this movie on the big screen with my husband. This is a movie you need to watch again to understand it more clearly, however I did find the story interesting and you see how Paul was in jail dictating to Luke the letters that we read today in the bible. When you watch this movie you get a feel of the times that Paul and Luke lived.

A very good truth-filled dipiction of Paul's biography and his time spent in prison. Some scenes could be a little graphic for some viewers, but overall a really well acted, excellent movie. The wonderful thing about this biblical movie is that it gets you thinking, questioning and then reconfirming with your bible afterwards the different aspects of Paul's journey. Definitely one to add to your biblical movies collection.

I am not usually a fan of biblical based movies, as I find many are inaccurate or cheesy in their depiction of the events and characters in the bible. This movie, however, is done so well. It is moving and interesting, makes the times of the New Testament come alive in ways I hadn't really grasped before, and I would highly recommend it. There is some violence and persecution of Christians though, so may not be for some people.
