A pioneering Australian study of early Christianity

In terms of establishing the culture and social practices of the early church this book is indispensable. The writings of Paul in particular are more fresh and relevant when read in the light of their social context. Stimulating and accessible to general readers with an interest in Paul and his letters. Highly recommended.
