I have owned the first 3 books in this series for a number of years (they have been reread many time over). So when I saw this fourth book in the series I bought it expecting the same quality and I was not let down. Lauraine writes about historical characters with beautiful Christian faith, their prayers and struggles in a time of new inventions (like the telephone and electricity) are engaging and inspiring. Many familiar faces reappear so I do recommend that readers read the previous books in the series first. Life in a small farming community is described and related in such detail that it is easy to imagine. Rebecca has two dreams but is unsure how or if they will be fulfilled. The reader is also left wondering whether she will fall in love with the wrong man. But in the end there is a happily ever after. I would recommend this book to those who enjoy authors such as Janette Oak or Lori Wick.
