Sacred Singleness

This book is a great source of encouragement and re-focus for people struggling with contentment in singleness. Ludy shares many personal stories which are helpful in making the book more relatable. She refers to the Bible often, excellently weaves useful quotes into each chapter and shares great insights into singleness. \\r\\nHowever, her use of Bible verses are used to help her make an important note, rather than basing her statements around the Word. \\r\\nAlso, the fact that she's married definitely limits her ability to relate to readers. I found myself quite bitter towards her at times as she speaks very lovingly of her perfect husband, the one thing many readers are dreaming of. \\r\\nI have suggested this book to a few friends who have also found it helpful.

I enjoyed this book for Leslie Ludy's continued conversational style, and her encouragement in living out a Christ like, set apart life. Leslie, in all her works, clearly articulates and expounds Biblical truths for young women today. \\r\\n\\r\\nMy favourite part was undoubtedly the testimonies and stories from young women who have lived out and in singleness, well into their thirties and beyond! How inspiring to see other girls doing single life well!

I started reading this book and thought there were some positive ideas, however as i continued I reaaly felt the author, have spent limited time single was speaking on an issue she hardly understood, and at times critical of those who were struggling with singleness. I struggled forward reading for a while but ended up putting the book down with strong dislike. I found 'treasured' by Leigh McLeroy much much more enjoyable.
