The first of an enjoyable series.
I enjoyed this first book in the series. I also noted that this is a continuation of the Heart of Frontier series, which I would definitely recommend be read first as it gives a lot more background and has the same characters in it. The story was historically interesting and while I took a little while to get into, I was glad I persevered as it was a most enjoyable series.

Engaging Story
An engaging story of a young widowed women who learns to trust God after losing her husband. This story leads to a tangled tale of family secrets; mystery surrounding her husbands business dealings; suspense as a childhood friend of Nancy's helps in the investigation of her husbands death and a touch of romance. A wonderfully written novel that will capture your heart and imagination with interesting characters.
