    A Story of Forgiveness

This story intertwines a bit of mystery with romantic tension. Opening with the tragic accident of the deaths of her parents and sister that has haunted her for the last 4 years, we meet Maggie. She is struggling with the bitterness of the past surrounding her best ""friend's"" (Nate) supposed indifference to her situation. But all is not as it seems. Was the accident even an accident, or was it a premeditated murder, planned to look like an accident? Maggie must learn to trust again and believe in the God she thought had deserted her and left her to eke out a spartan existence with her sister and grandmother in her millinery shop. This truly was very well written and a great read!

an enjoyable glimpse into the Edwardian era

I enjoyed this sweet tale set in the Edwardian era. It beautifully captures the 'upstairs, downstairs' relationships, and I enjoyed how the secondary characters supply a number of engaging sub-plots. Carrie Turansky has a lovely writing style that is easy to read, while the plot has just enough intrigue to keep the reader captivated throughout. If you enjoy authors such as Tracie Peterson, then you will enjoy this.
